Just Keep Spinning...

This morning I saw that we've already raised $1000!  How great is that?  Thank you so much for your support already.  If you haven't sponsored us yet, then by all means head over to the website

There's heaps of things coming together at the moment.  During my training sessions recently I've been working on increasing my cadence (pedal speed).  The rationale being that spinning at a higher rate is a better overall use of energy then just trying to muscle and power along.

The preparation for this ride has felt a bit like that!  I've been chipping away at different things on the to do list - just spinning along - and then all of a sudden I feel like I'm getting on top; just in time too.

Stuart Foster - my regular riding buddy wearing one of our new riding jackets!

Cycling Jackets for the ride arrived yesterday!  Looking good!  The long range forecast is looking more hopeful.  Media Releases are about to be sent out.  Equipment is starting to mount up; and most importantly sponsorship for each of the riders is starting to come in!

My regular cycling buddy Stuart Foster is a well-known face around Hobart.  He heads up all of The Salvation Army's Social and Community Services.  I know some of you have been waiting to sponsor him; well his fundraising site is up and running and I know he'd love your encouragement. You can head there now by clicking here.

It's all coming together.  In just two short days I'll be heading up to Launceston to join the Salvos 'on the couch' at Connections to talk about the ride, but more importantly the motivation and hopes.  Then on Saturday morning, we head to Burnie to start.

Can't wait to just get out on the bike.
